I went to Oklahoma State University. I transferred to OSU my sophomore year from a private university, and my best friend (who transferred with me) joined the greek panhellenic system. She told me about Phi Lamb after hearing about it from a friend and so I looked into it. It was not...
One Heart 2012
One Heart 2012 was an amazing, transformational weekend for the women of Phi Lamb. We had actives and alumnae from 11 different chapters, and we are so thankful for everyone who was able to attend. There were lots of laughs, great conversation, and sweet time spent with the Lord.
The Reliques, two Phi Lamb alums, led us in worship for the weekend. They also played a concert for us on Saturday night, which was wondeful!
Betsy Nichols from Irving Bible Church was our speaker. She challenged us to move from aloneness to knownness with God and others. During the weekend, and in the last few weeks, I have really seen that message taking hold in my life and in the lives of my sisters, and it is so encouraging to see the Lord working to draw us more into relationship with Him and with others.
As part of the weekend, we assembled 20 AIDS Caregiver Kits for World Vision. These kits contain medical items that will be shipped to Africa and given to those who are currently caring for neighbors suffering from AIDS. In assembling the kits, we were also able to write an encouraging note to the caregivers and pray over them before sending them back to World Vision for shipment to Africa.
Thank you to all of you who were able to attend this year, and if you weren’t able to make it, know that we are already making plans for One Heart 2013 and would love to see you there!
