Members are required to be under the covering of or actively seeking out a local church home. Phi Lamb meetings are not intended to take the place of weekly church attendance.

Sigma Phi Lambda upholds the Apostles' Creed as the statement of belief for our members. We believe in it because it provides a clear, historically rooted summary of Christian faith that aligns with our mission to glorify God and foster a community of women who seek to grow spiritually. By centering our beliefs on the Apostles' Creed, we ensure that our foundation is firmly rooted in Biblical truth, maintaining a common faith among members despite denominational differences.

All members must be actively enrolled in the university for that semester. Some universities do require a minimum number of hours per semester to participate in a student organziation.

Members cannot hold membership in any other collegiate fraternal organization, except for those that are purely honorary, professional, or service organizations, in accordance with Title IX guidelines for social fraternities.
