Chapter Spotlight: Mizzou

Posted by on

The University of Missouri chapter started off the semester by welcoming 8 new members. The chapter enjoyed having their moms come visit for a weekend, as they hosted a Coffee and Canvas event where girls and their moms got to paint, drink coffee, and talk about Jesus together.  The girls enjoyed showing their moms what Phi Lamb is all about, and the moms enjoyed getting a sneak peek into what their daughters are involved in. With 82 people in attendance, the event was a hit! The chapter has also been spreading the love of Jesus to the Mizzou campus through their outreach event. This semester they handed out bags of popcorn with verses attached.  The energy and excitement that the girls displayed allowed them to be a light on their campus! Most recently the chapter enjoyed a sweet time of fellowship at their spring retreat. Their theme focused on Isaiah 6:8, which is “Here I am. Send me!”. This was a perfect way to talk about serving the Lord in whatever way He might call you, be it service here or abroad. The speaker was a wonderful lady named Patty Yoss, who served with her husband as long-term missionaries building an orphanage in Africa before being called back to the States to serve her elderly mother. She blessed the girls so much through her lifetime of experience serving the Lord. The chapter was even able to serve right then and there during retreat by working in the church’s food pantry and put to use their drive to help people, as well as enjoy the sisterhood that grows through working together.
