Phi Lamb is Phi Lamb: Fall Chapter Visits

Posted by on

I love getting the chance to visit some of our chapters. It is so encouraging to see the common threads that bind us together. At campuses as different as Longwood University and Texas A&M, what happens at a chapter meeting is still very much the same. It is also encouraging that these experiences so closely mirror the ones I had as an active member at the Texas Tech chapter 20 years ago. It seems like no matter where I go, Phi Lamb is Phi Lamb, and I LOVE that!

This fall I had the pleasure of visiting 6 different chapters, including:

  • Longwood Univerisity-Alpha Kappa Chapter in Farmville, VA
  • Texas A&M University-Beta Chapter in College Station, TX
  • Houston Baptist University-Eta Chapter
  • Texas Tech University-Gamma Chapter in Lubbock, TX
  • Angelo State University-Iota Chapter in San Angelo, TX
  • Stephen F. Austin State University-Delta Chapter in Nacogdoches, TX
Longwood Chapter I got to visit one of the first chapter meetings of the year at Longwood University. I loved getting to see this new chapter thriving in its second year.
I had the pleasure of visiting our largest chapter at Texas A&M University with their amazing Alumnae Council members, Michelle Parrozzo and Megan Bock, and Regional Director, Sunni Petty. Texas A&M Leadership
Houston Baptist Leadership I loved getting a firsthand look at the great things going on in our HBU chapter and getting to meet their long-time faculty advisor, Rhonda Furr, who has  been supporting that chapter well for years.
The officers from Wayland Baptist and their dedicated AC, Bailey Graham, made a visit to the Texas Tech chapter. Their Regional Director, Mandy Hitt, and I got to join in this fun experience between these two West Texas chapters. Tech and Wayland Leadership
Angelo State Leaders Mandy Hitt and I took a road trip together to attend Angelo State's last chapter of the semester together. We also got to spend time with their lovely ACs, Stacey Jordan and Shyanne Holik.
SFA Chapter SFA Leaders

Leslie Moore, our board chairperson, and I made a trip to the piney woods of East Texas to visit our SFA chapter and had the pleasure of spending time with their faculty advisor, D'Nese Haddox.

It was a great journey to see so many schools in 2012, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of our outstanding chapters in 2013!
